OUR STORY

Rural.

 

If we could pick one word to describe our way, that would be it. It's a way of life that can't be replicated anywhere but the open spaces of a small town, it's people, and the ways that come with both.

After leaving to continue each of our educations, Chad and I remained in what many call "orange country," but eventually returned with our three sons to Central Oklahoma where a large portion of our family still resides. Although our children had been raised in a small town setting, it was missing key components... the nuances of daily life of living near family.

​

Now here we are. Fond memories of the area we grew up with are becoming a part of the threads that are weaving who our children are becoming. The children are our future, of course, and so we decided to invest in them. All of them. For every dollar spent on the HIKRY site, a percentage goes back into rural education.
